👉 Redesigned Subscription rules page
The Subscription rules page has been rebuilt to make managing a growing list of rules faster.
Search — find rules by name, type, vendor, product tags, products, or collection.
Row-level actions — Preview, Duplicate, Delete, and Enable/Disable are now available directly from the list, without opening the rule.
Quick Preview — jump straight to the storefront preview of any rule.
App embed warning — a banner now alerts you when the app embed isn't enabled in your theme, and hides itself once it's activated.
Cart upsell banner — a new promotional banner shows you when subscription upsell is available for your cart.
👉 Clearer "Create rule" page
Creating a subscription rule now guides you toward the right setup instead of leaving the choice to guesswork.
Rule type as cards — automatic charges and recurring invoices are now shown as descriptive cards with icons, so the difference is clear at a glance.
Payment gateway check — choosing Automatic charges runs a real-time eligibility check on your store. If your store doesn't yet have a supported payment gateway, you'll see a banner with links to set one up or learn more — before you build the rule.
Smarter default — eligible stores now default to Automatic charges, while stores without a supported gateway default to Recurring invoices.
Subscription type — moved from a dropdown to a button group, so both options are visible.
Rule status — a new field lets you set a rule to Enabled or Disabled as you create it.
"Applies to" search — a search bar makes it quicker to pick products and collections.
Renamed fields. Several fields have been renamed to describe what they actually do:
Rule name → Rule internal name
Notes for customer → Subscription summary
Min/Max number of payments → Limit cancellation / Auto-end subscription
Offer discount for subscribing → Offer immediate discount
Change discount after X payments → Schedule future discount
Your existing rules and their settings carry over unchanged — only the labels and layout have moved. New tooltips have been added for Subscription type and Subscription summary.
