Edit Sender Email
By default, the RecurrinGO! Subscriptions app uses [email protected] to send email notifications to your customers. In case merchants use the default sender's email, replies go to the email address indicated in their Shopify admin.
You can change the default email so that your customers could receive email notifications from your company's name.
Notifications are sent from the email shown here (default:
[email protected]
).Customer replies go to the forwarding email you’ve set (e.g., your support email).
You can change this if you prefer a branded email address.
Click the Change email button near the Sender email.
In the popup, type the email you want to use for sending notifications to your customers and click Change email.
You’ll receive the Amazon verification link to the specified email. Click the link to finish settings.
Refresh the page to see the changes. Please note that sometimes it takes about an hour for changes to apply. In this case, you’ll see the Awaiting verification message.
Customize the design of email templates
Click customize email templates button.
Here you can:
Apply your accent color (used in buttons and highlights).
Customize wording for customer portal links.
Preview how the branded email will look before saving.
You may ask:
👉 What’s the difference between retry and last attempt failed payment emails?
Payment failed (retrying): Sent after the first failed attempt when the system will try again.
Payment failed (last attempt): Sent after the final retry fails, meaning the subscription payment could not be recovered automatically.
This two-step approach gives customers a chance to update their payment details before the subscription is fully interrupted.
👉 Will I get notified if a customer cancels their subscription?
Yes, if you enable Merchant notifications → Get notified on customer actions.
You’ll receive an email when a customer cancels, pauses, resumes, updates, or when a payment fails.
👉 How can I show product details and prices in emails?
You can do this in the payment reminder email.
In the Upcoming payment reminder settings, check the box “Include subscription products and pricing details in the notification.”
Navigate to RecurrinGO → Settings → Notifications
In the customer notifications section, scroll down to Upcoming payment reminder and click Edit.
Here, check the box.
If enabled → the email will list products and their prices.
If disabled → the email will only include a general reminder about the payment date.
